Are you a risk-taker?

Aren't we all?
You can risk everything by following your dreams and beliefs, but you're also risking if you don't.
You could say that the perceived risk lies in the eyes of beholder. The freaked-out one!

Many people see me as an extreme risk-taker, but I'm as safe as I've been in my whole life! My safe ground seems to someone addicted to the society standard as walking on a thin ice. Anytime things can collapse for me and I can go down in a second.
I know that. And I've accepted it so it is no longer a risk for me. I've turned my doubts and fears into my strengths.
For me, it is a far greater risk not to "take the risk", as moving forward in you own direction is perceived by the society.

For example, it has been a year and a half since I left my college at the end of the second year, but there are people, very close to me, who are still freaked out by my choice, and every now and then ask me when will I return to college. For the first year I've explained myself to them, but I've stopped that recently. I've learned that risk, or fear, are very individual, and that the only way I can only ensure people I'm safe is by my state of being, not words.

The same goes for me perceiving other people's risks. I may sometimes jugde someone, think he or she is risking so much by his actions, but I do my best not to interfere. I only allow myself to explain my point of view if I'm asked to do so. It's like a First Amendment for personal perceived risk!
