If you had to lose your vision, what would you look at today?

Posted on Nov 2nd, 2007 by djuro : crazy diamond djuro
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 02, 2007:

I would borrow my friend's quad and ride through the woods to the lake. My honey would ride it and I'd enjoy the scenery. On the lake, I'd paint my last painting and enjoy the moment.
Later at home I'd throw a party for my friends and family where I'd celebrate my vision so far. I'd draw their caricatures and look at them closely. I would look at my photo albums and drawings.
The next day, I'd consider my options for non-visual careers.

If you could replace 'watching tv' with one activity, what would

Posted on Nov 4th, 2007 by djuro : crazy diamond djuro
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 04, 2007:

I wouldn't force upon anyone not to watch TV, I would only "snap my fingers" for everyone to be present while they do it. The very awareness would probably make most of the world stop watching TV and involve in some other activities that are more enriching for their's lives and for the whole humanity.
I hope I explained this well:I

They relate, because they are of the same source.
They not only relate, they also reflect.
Your relationship to enviroment reflects your relationship to your spirit.

What was your favorite childhood story?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 09, 2007:

Sleepingbeauty-photo1sb_c_259
Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Snowhite and Little Mermaid - I told you I was a Disney freak!
Now, if you're a feminist, please don't read this any further...this is as corny as it gets.

Snowhite was the story my eldest sister had to SING for me to fall asleep! And rock my pillow while at it!
I got my Disney World book when I was 4, and it is the most worn-out book I have. I used to carry it with me around all day. I would draw the beautiful pictures from it and dream about living in such world. I would wrap a big cloth around me and played it was a dress, even danced waltz in my room.
Later I got to see Little Mermaid on a videotape - we didn't have a video-receiver, so one day that we borrowed it, I watched it about 9 times in a row, thinking I'd never see it again!

Now whenever I miss me some Disney, I just go to my niece's private Disney collection and pick one. We hop into her bed, and suddenly I'm 5 again, mesmerized by the colors and shapes and the loveliness of Disneyworld. I'm only glad for her that she gets to laugh at Shrek movie, too!

When we ask my niece what will she be when she grows up, she says "Well prince's wife, of course!"...

...I hope to be my prince's wife one day, too...hey, the guy DID show up!

Are you a risk-taker?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 10, 2007:

Aren't we all?
You can risk everything by following your dreams and beliefs, but you're also risking if you don't.
You could say that the perceived risk lies in the eyes of beholder. The freaked-out one!

Many people see me as an extreme risk-taker, but I'm as safe as I've been in my whole life! My safe ground seems to someone addicted to the society standard as walking on a thin ice. Anytime things can collapse for me and I can go down in a second.
I know that. And I've accepted it so it is no longer a risk for me. I've turned my doubts and fears into my strengths.
For me, it is a far greater risk not to "take the risk", as moving forward in you own direction is perceived by the society.

For example, it has been a year and a half since I left my college at the end of the second year, but there are people, very close to me, who are still freaked out by my choice, and every now and then ask me when will I return to college. For the first year I've explained myself to them, but I've stopped that recently. I've learned that risk, or fear, are very individual, and that the only way I can only ensure people I'm safe is by my state of being, not words.

The same goes for me perceiving other people's risks. I may sometimes jugde someone, think he or she is risking so much by his actions, but I do my best not to interfere. I only allow myself to explain my point of view if I'm asked to do so. It's like a First Amendment for personal perceived risk!

p.s. The photo is from a free photo site. Still only a dream...

What would you print on our currency?

Posted on Nov 12th, 2007 by djuro : crazy diamond djuro
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 12, 2007:

Now there's a job I'd accept anytime!
If I were doing it now, I'd do it in the spirit of Zaads.
First of all, I'd want to make these bills unable to ever smell like money. I'd hire perfume designers and engineers to create papers that smell like orchids, jasmine, patchouly and lavader, and never lose their scent.
On the front of every bill I'd put pictures of one of the wonders of the world, or wonders of nature. Each bill would have another reminder of earth's beauty and wonder.
On the back side I'd put quotations of our enlightened spiritual masters, and excerpts from great books and sacred scripts. Maybe even a slight portrait of them next to it.
For coins I'd invent an alternative, some other material that doesn't react in smell when touches your skin, but rather, is scentles and differs in size and touch acoording to its value.
Maybe some rocks would fit the purpose. Any ideas?

p.s. Do you think I'd end up in court for putting spiritual masters on money bills?

this Saturday. It was a friend's B-day party, and the first quality snow has fallen.
I can only say that a bunch of us twenty-somethings have turned into 8-year-olds in a blink of a snow-glazed eye.

What's the longest relationship you've been in?

Posted on Nov 23rd, 2007 by djuro : crazy diamond djuro
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 23, 2007:

I'm not really a "counting" type anymore, but let's see:

I know for sure that my shortest relationship was with my first boyfriend, back in highschool, and it lasted about a month. The best thing about it was that I got my first kiss, at age 15. We had great fun, and it lasted just right. I had just started to go out, so it was all very sweet and whole lots of fun! We are very dear to each other now, and I love to meet him. I guess you can always keep the sweetnes alive - if you are over it.

My longest relationship was an on and off triology or something, which lasted for 3 years. It ended up with highschool. I was a funky-hippie girl, he was a rocker. We had great fun, always up to something, him playing guitar and me singing. But, I have to say it lasted waaay too long - to the point where love was no longer there, only attachment. Still, no regrets here. The best thing about the relationship was us growing up together, learning from our many false expectations, rock'n'roll and of course - the love.

Now I am in a relationship...hmmm...people ask me "How long has it been since you two are together?", and I always have to pause and count. I'm off to look for my blue journal now...

...yup, 2005. 2 years and three months. And it's just the time since we started kissing ;)
I guess the relationship started the first time we spoke - about 3 years ago.
I don't know. It just doesn't feel we've ever been apart. There's nothing to count.

The best thing about it: every single little thing and all of it!

What's your ideal working situation?

Posted on Nov 28th, 2007 by djuro : crazy diamond djuro
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 27, 2007:

2057272937_bbab29ec14
All I need is my partner, internet, an idea and a computer.

If only it would be that easy! My ideal work situation is my dream for the past few months. I can se it so clearly: I'd share a big home office with my partner/boyfirend. We'd have big desks and comfy chairs. We'd have a plant with big leaves, and all will be very Feng Shui. Lots of wood, stone and full of light. There will as little things as possible. We'd bring our coffe from the kitchen, and we'd listen to mostly lounge, new jazz and rock music. Oh, and we'll both have an iMac. We would talk to our clients through Skype, but if anyone came for a meeting, we'd receive them in our living room, that would be connected with a few steps to our office.

My desk would probably be filled with papers and sketches, and there would also be doors that lead to my atelier - which is a whole another room, with white walls and high windows. Not everyone would be allowed in there. It would have a small platform for my models to sit, and lots of space for paintings. It would have to have a small bathroom, because I always mess my chlotes and erm, everything when I'm painting.

The atmosphere in the office will be as always when the two of us are together - creative and cheerful.
We'd probably live near woods or some small lake, so inspiration would not be far away. As it is at the moment, people will probably love to visit us in the evening, and we'd have a big living room - without television, but full of games, and people would play Wii, table football or watch DVDs. They could make themselves a drink, and just lounge in our big sofas. They'd feel right at home. I wouldn't be working much at the computer in the evening anymore, but if the doors of my atelier are locked, I'm considered gone. The atelier will probably have to be sound-proof, too.

A very similar situation went on while we worked at the office, with the creativity and friends dropping by - and we realised we don't need an office, but an apartment. Now I'm at home for the winter, and I really don't want to talk about it because I'm into making this situation as short as possible.

But I'm happy to treat you with the view through my home office at sunset!

What determines a good education?

Posted on Nov 28th, 2007 by djuro : crazy diamond djuro
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 28, 2007:

Ideal education is a continuing education.

It is when a student masters his teacher, becomes a teacher, but never stops being a student.
Moreover, he goes to find yet another teacher, maybe even in his student, because he knows he can't possibly know everything, and has a passion for understanding this world.
Something that helps to know in this process is to believe that "When the student is ready, the teacher will appear."

D'oh! Tagged. (I'm soooo gonna getcha, Jean-Francois!)

Posted on Nov 29th, 2007 by djuro : crazy diamond djuro
So, this is my first blog post that is NOT another Q&R answer. Jean Francois tagged me.

THE RULES:

1. Link to the person’s blog who tagged you.

2. Post these rules on your blog.

3. List seven random and/or weird facts about yourself.

4. Tag seven random [?] people at the end of your post and include links to their blogs.

5. Let each person know that they have been tagged by posting a comment on their blog.

So here we go, seven weird random things about me:

1. My dad and mom's names are Ivica and Marica, aka. Hansel and Gretel.

2. I'm terrified of cats.

3. I cannot eat from a plate if someone has taken the food from it. The same goes for someone else's plate and sharing one. The only ones I can share my plate with are my boyfriend and my nieces, who always seem to want to eat off my plate. I guess they're here to teach me...

4. I'm extremely ticklish. This makes all of my friends "attack" me from time to time, and sometimes I feel I'm going to choke from the reaction. I first react in a laughing scream, but later I just stop breathing. The only times I'm not ticklish is when I'm very relaxed, and of course, after sexy-time.  ;))))
Also very weird, the only place I'm not ticklish are my feet.

5. My bed has a specific scent that makes everyone asleep. When I was younger, my brother would always jump into my bed while I was in bathroom, just so he would get sleepy. He would always say: "But mine doesn't smell so nice. Just give my 2 minutes.". Whenever I change the sheets, it takes me a little longer to fall asleep.

6. My ears are not the same. One of them looks like a Vulcan-wannabe. It has a little more skin on the top. The only person i saw with the same ears is my former English Literature professor. I would have reveiled him my observation if my colleagues didn't stop me.

7. A year ago, I woke up completely hungovered from a boozy night. I got up early to paint my garage doors, because I promised my dad I would. I painted them and enjoyed a day with him while he was fixing something in the garage. He had his blue working jumpsuit on. When I finished, I went straight to bed from tiredness. On my way up to the room, I looked at my dad's green hat laying on the closet.
When I laid down, my whole body relaxed immediately, and I couldn't (nor wanted) to move. Soon I felt I was in between sleep and awakeness, only I couldn't fall completely asleep because there was a strong sound of someone hitting hard with a hammer or something. Since I was sleeping in a room upstairs at the end of our house, which is on the corner of two streets, I couldn't determin where was the sound coming from.
The second I asked myself that, I lifted up, went through the wall, and look from above onto my father, who was in the backyard, chopping wood - and making that sound that kept me awake. I saw him wearing a green hat that he didn't have when I last saw him 10 minutes ago. The air I was in was no air at all. It was thick and I had no need to breathe. I almost laughed.
When I realised this isn't possible, the very realisation returned me to my body. I "woke up", felt my body again, still too tired to move, and uncertain of what just happened. I got up to see was it really dad, opened the window to my backyard, and saw him chopping wood, wearing that green hat.
I just went "Woooow." Still I don't know was it a dream, but it sure didn't feel like one.

So, now you all know....;)

People I'm about to tag:

1. J.K.

2. True Eloquence

3. Prashant

4. djnutz

5. Semilla Besada

6. Owais

7. Kelly
